Chandrababu Naidu Participates in Rally Against Molestation of Women and Girls
When India is gripping under the rape crisis and no sign of abetting it, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu has taken a step forward to bring awareness to public protecting our girl children and woman is our own responsibility and organized a rally in Vijayawada called “Aadabiddaku Andaga Kaduludam “Lets walk together to protect our girlchild” ( a loose translation from telugu ) The Rally started from Tumalapalli Kalakshetram to Indira Gandhi Municipal stadium in Vijayawada and addressed a public meeting to create awareness on protecting the girl child.

And the rally witnessed a great participation of public and eminent child right activist like Kailas Satyarthy has expressed his solidarity with NCBN and praised NCBN in twitter

Its alarming and it will trouble your heart if you really think about our children and their safety because every 15 minutes a child is sexually abused in India as per the latest govt figures \and data which is released by national-crime-records-bureau-ncrb in 2016 alone 106,958 cases of crimes against children were recorded Of these, 36,022 cases were recorded under Pocso (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.
In percentage terms, major crime heads under ‘Crime Against Children’ during 2016 were
kidnapping & abduction (52.3%) and cases under the Protection of Children from the sexual offence
Offences Act, 2012 (34.4%) including child rape.
ii. Maximum number of cases under crime against children were reported in Uttar Pradesh,
Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, (15.3%, 13.6% and 13.1% respectively).
A total of 1, 11, 569 children (41,175 males and 70,394 females) were reported missing and every newspaper in India publish one story of child abuse in every day and of course it has become a daily column.
